How to Load and Organize Images in BeatSlide

Quick answer

Select local image files or paste a public page or direct-image URL. New images append to the current session; you can drag them into order or remove them individually.

Local files: the predictable option

Use the Upload control to choose image files from your device. The file picker can select multiple files when your browser supports it. BeatSlide reads them as browser data URLs rather than uploading the selected file bytes to its image-extraction service.

The local-file path requires a recognized image file type and both dimensions at least 200 pixels. A 1000×150 strip is too small in one dimension and is skipped. An unreadable or unsupported file will not appear. JPG, PNG and WebP are common choices; decoding of other formats depends on the browser. Animated images may animate independently of slide timing.

Import from a webpage

Paste a publicly accessible URL and wait for the extraction indicator. BeatSlide first attempts direct-image loading. For webpages, it attempts server-assisted extraction and then fallback services if needed.

The importer detects candidate URLs in page content, checks at most 80 candidates, and appends up to 50 valid page images per extraction. Page-extracted images must load and meet the 200×200 minimum. This is not a promise to discover an entire gallery, and the limit is not a 50-image total session cap.

The direct-image path is separate: it checks whether the image loads but currently does not apply the same dimension filter. Choose a sufficiently large source yourself.

What happens to existing images?

Adding a URL does not clear earlier files or imports. New results append to the list. Duplicate candidates are filtered within a page extraction, but repeated imports can still add images already in the session.

Use the visible image number to identify a position. Drag to reorder and use the trash control to remove an unwanted image. The app does not display long filenames in the manager, and there is no saved playlist library.

Choose image timing after importing

SettingSuitable when
Sync to beatYou want each beat to advance an image
Fixed timerYou want images to remain visible for 1–10 seconds independently of tempo

Holding the displayed image keeps it on screen until release. The audio continues.

If an import fails

Try a public gallery page rather than a profile home or login link. Cookie banners, dynamic loading, image-host protection and access restrictions can prevent results. BeatSlide cannot sign into another site for you. Instagram profile importing is not reliable; use files you are allowed to download and reuse instead.

Import speed depends on the site and network. Wait for completion rather than assuming every request should finish in seconds. For a shared device, remember that browser history, cache and third-party requests are outside the session image list’s temporary storage.
