Using BeatSlide Together: One Device, Clear Controls and Consent

Quick answer

Two adults can use the same visible BeatSlide session on one device. The app does not synchronize separate devices, provide remote control or create shared accounts.

Agree on the activity and material

Shared use should be optional and mutually agreed. Choose images together and only use material you have the right to use. Either person should be able to request a stop immediately, without a timer, beat or difficulty label overruling that request.

This article offers device and control guidance, not evidence of relationship benefits or a therapeutic program. BeatSlide is a local timing interface, not a communication substitute.

Use one screen and one audio source

A tablet or laptop may be easier for two people to see than a phone, but choose whichever is comfortable. Position the device so the Stop control is reachable. Speakers can share the beat; check volume and any Bluetooth delay before starting.

Two tabs or two devices do not run an automatically synchronized session. There is no invite link, shared queue, multiplayer room or remote-controller feature. Opening the same website independently produces separate sessions.

Start predictably

  1. Leave Random off while learning the controls.
  2. Select an agreed fixed tempo, without treating any number as a performance target.
  3. Choose the sound and image timer together.
  4. Start and test the Stop control.
  5. If you use random difficulty, review its actual range before choosing it.

Easy spans 80–120 BPM; it cannot be changed into a custom 40–90 range. None still randomizes over 20–300. For a particular slower pace, use fixed BPM.

Decide who handles settings

One person can operate the device while the other watches or listens, but this is simply shared physical access. Settings changes are not remote commands. You can take turns operating the same controls without creating accounts.

Holding an image freezes visual advancement only; sound continues. If the request is for quiet or ending, use Stop. During automatic pauses the app may resume at countdown completion, so stop it explicitly when you do not want that.

Protect sensitive material

Local file selection reads images in browser memory. URL imports use external services, and image hosts receive remote image requests. Do not import private signed links merely because two people are using an account-free app.

At the end, close the session and remember that original files, browser history and cache may remain on a shared device. The app does not provide a guaranteed erasure or shared privacy mode.
