What Is a JOI Metronome Game? A Practical Beginner Guide

Quick answer

A JOI metronome game pairs a repeating audio beat with visual material for an adult rhythm-based activity. BeatSlide provides the beat and an optional image slideshow; you choose the material, sound and timing.

What the term means

JOI is an adult-content term meaning “jerk off instruction.” The metronome supplies a pace rather than a prerecorded instructional sequence. BeatSlide does not generate instructions, provide an image library or assess your performance. Its controls are tools for timing and display, not a medical or training program.

You can also use the same controls without adult material: load your own photography, compare rhythms or listen to a steady pulse. Images are optional, so a session can run with only the BPM display and sound.

The three independent choices

ChoiceWhat it changesWhat it does not change
Fixed BPMThe repeating beat tempo, from 20 to 300 BPMYour image order
Random difficultyThe preset range and duration of tempo statesA custom min/max range
Slide SpeedBeat-synced or fixed 1–10 second image changesThe selected sound

With Sync to beat, an image advances on each beat. With Fixed timer, image timing stays independent of BPM. At 120 BPM, beat sync changes twice a second; a 3-second fixed timer leaves considerably more time to view each image.

Set up a first session

  1. Open the app and select a sound.
  2. Leave Random off and select a tempo you find comfortable. For understanding the controls, 60 BPM is an easy mathematical example: one beat each second, not a recommended bodily pace.
  3. Add images from your device if you want a slideshow.
  4. Choose Fixed timer if you want image changes slower than the beat.
  5. Press Start. Open Settings to change your choices; press Stop to end playback.

Holding the displayed image freezes image advancement while the beat continues. It is not an audio pause button. Medium and Hard random presets can introduce automatic audio pauses, which are a separate behavior.

Common questions

Do I need an account or download?

The current app is free to use in a browser without registration or installing a native application. This describes the current product, not a promise about future pricing.

Does it work with any image URL?

No. Public image pages may work, but access restrictions, login screens and blocked image hosts can prevent importing. Uploading permitted files from your device is the most predictable alternative.

Are all image operations local?

Local file selection reads files in the browser. Page-URL extraction uses external services, and remote images are requested from their hosts. Do not treat account-free access as anonymous browsing.
